Take Control of Cockroaches
German cockroaches have become an issue in Southern Alberta. They are resilient, fast-moving insects that thrive in dark, damp environments and can quickly contaminate food, surfaces, and living spaces.
These pests can spread bacteria, trigger allergies, and worsen asthma symptoms. Cockroaches are excellent at hiding, often found behind appliances, inside wall cavities, under sinks, and in hard-to-reach cracks and crevices. Common signs of a cockroach infestation include:
-
Sightings of live or dead cockroaches, especially at night
-
Droppings that resemble black pepper or coffee grounds
-
Unpleasant, musty odours in affected areas
-
Egg casings in hidden spots
Cockroaches reproduce rapidly, and DIY solutions rarely address the root of the problem. Missed eggs and hiding spots often allow infestations to rebound quickly. That’s why our professional treatment plan and targeted follow-up process are designed to eliminate cockroaches completely.
Treatment Preparation
Proper preparation is key to effective treatment.
A detailed preparation guide will be provided before treatment.
1)
Empty Out Drawers and Cabinets
Clear out all drawers and cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms (especially those around sinks), as well as other places where roaches have been observed. Please ensure easy access to plumbing areas.
2)
Degrease and Sanitize BEFORE Treatment
Clean any areas with grease and organic matter including cabinets, drawers, stoves, fridges, appliances, and countertops, taking care to move and clean under and behind them. Cockroaches take bait much better when these sources of food are removed.
3)
Ensure Affected Areas Are Clear and Accessible
Make sure areas cockroaches have been are clean and within reach so treatment can be properly administered.
4)
Declutter Untreatable Areas
Excess boxes, storage, and other items can harbor cockroaches, making treatment difficult. Be sure to declutter untreatable areas like kitchens and bathrooms to ensure the most effective treatment.
5)
Avoid Additional Chemicals and Pest Control Products
Do not apply additional chemicals after treatment as they can interfere with the ones we use.
Please note that each case is different, resulting in different methods and timelines. Results are often not immediate, but proper preparation is key to getting your home roach free as quickly as possible.
